Work Conditioning
One of the most challenging things after a major injury can be returning to activity or the workplace. One of the tools we use to help you return to your job can be a graduated form of exercise and exposure, to allow you a safe and effective return to work. Education about how to integrate back into the workplace with supervisors and colleagues can avoid much of the stress that can be a barrier to recovery. In addition to your formal physiotherapy care we can initiate a work conditioning program of full body strengthening exercises specific to your job, task simulation activities to allow you to gradually build up to what you do and aerobic exercise to ensure you have the endurance and energy to complete your workday. Graduate return to work plans with stepwise increase in hours and exposure to more challenging duties, can also aid this process.
